Acheson Cabin
The Acheson cabin was built in 1908 by the Acheson family near what is now the Fox Point dock as a guest house for student visitors coming from Whitworth College in Tacoma where Dr. Acheson was a professor. One of the children, Lila Acheson, taught school here in 1910. She later married Dewitt Wallace and together they founded the ''Reader's Digest'' magazine.
